Kap-G's "Girlfriend" Goes Gold

Kap G went gold off your "Girlfriend."

Mexican rapper Kap G has been dropping hot joints but the song that has had a big impact on his career is the wifey-stealing anthem "Girlfriend." The XXL Freshman revealed on his Instagram that his break-out song has now gone Gold, meaning it has sold over 500,000 copies. A great accomplishment for the Atlanta rapper to add to his resumé.

After revealing the information on his Instagram, Kap-G just captioned it "Platinum next" with prayer hands and arms raised emoji. The song about girlfriend-snatching has clearly been popular amongst most people as his Soundcloud plays on the song are over 38.2 Million hits. In addition to the mass amount of streams on his hit single, the song has also has an official remix with Ty Dolla $ign and as well as Migos' Quavo, which goes equally as hard as the originally.

Along with gaining a gold plaque, that isn't the only big announcement he made. He also announced that he'll have his song featured on the next NBA 2K18 soundtrack. 

Kap G has been making some serious moves and music this past year. With the release of his mixtape SupaJefe, he's been pushing the tape hard.

He's also currently on his own headlining tour SupaJefe tour for the rest of the month in the United States.
