It’s safe to say Kap-G has been having himself quite the year so far in 2017. From being named to this year’s XXL Freshman class to dropping off his debut album Supa Jefe back in April, which featured the recently-announced Gold single “Girlfriend,” the fast-rising ATL crooner has been on a pretty meteoric rise to some mainstream success this year, and he doesn’t look to be slowing down. After hitting us with the song “Slumped” earlier this month, the XXL Freshman decides to come through today and share a new video offering with Lil Baby called “Pull Up” which was released exclusively via Rapstar's YT channel.
Going in over production from Young TT & Squat Beats, Kap delivers a braggadocios banger that finds him flexing for the bitches & boasting about “pulling up” in a brand new whip, just as the title depicts. Meanwhile, Lil Baby boasts about his lavish lifestyle & raps about pulling up on a bad little shorty who’s got his back at any time. “If it aint right on my hip, she keep the .80 on her/ You know my baby aint scared, She gon’ stay down its raw” he spits.
As for the video, it finds Kap & Lil Baby bringing the lyrics to life & pulling out the foreign whips & flossin’ their cash in this A Spaz Visuals-directed clip (above). It follows up his latest video for “Rings,” which dropped last month. Its unclear at the moment on where this record might end up or, but hopefully there’s more on the way and it sounds like there might be. A couple days ago, Kap-G hinted that he might have a few songs dropping November 3rd, but well have to wait and see about that.
For now, check out his latest offering and let us know what you think. While you’re at it, be sure to revisit his debut album Supa Jefe right here if you haven't done so already. Features on it include Chris Brown, Pharrell, Dae Dae & more.
