In early August, it was revealed that A$AP Bari wouldn't be charged after being accused of rape. At the time the allegations came out, his closest friends and collaborators in the game distanced themselves from him publicly, including Kanye West. However, 'Ye has now come out with an apology of sorts to Bari for allowing letting "perception and robots control" him.
Kanye West's took to Twitter to apologize to A$AP Bari for not standing by him while the A$AP Mob founder faced accusations of sexual assault over the past year. The rapper shared a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation he recently had with A$AP Bari and credited him for helping him get the "number 1 record in the world" and breaking him out of his "pretentious rich n***a shell."
"Bari challenged me when no one else did and when he got in trouble I was scared to say he was my friend just like I did with xxx and that was some pussy shit on my part." He wrote, "I let the perception and the robots control me. That’s the true sunken place."
'Ye continued to thank Bari for his perspective and vision as well as helping him get closer to A$AP Rocky before reminding his followers that, "Jedis never let perception and cancel culture get between them."
