Kanye West's "Sunday Service" performance included a comment about R. Kelly and Michael Jackson.

In 2018, Kanye West was attacked continuously for his political views. Near the end of the year, he appeared to distance himself from Donald Trump before changing his mind, praising the current President of the United States on Twitter again. He's always been a controversial subject in his career but he recently took time to comment on other artists that are currently under fire during his "Sunday Service" performance.

It was announced recently that Kanye would be performing gospel renditions of his songs as part of his "Sunday Service" series, which he came through with yesterday. The service was live-streamed by Ye's mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, with songs like "Lift Yourself," "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1" and others being reimagined. As reported by OnSmash, the recording artist spoke about all the negative press R. Kelly and Michael Jackson have been getting for their respective documentaries. West refrained from sharing too much of his opinion regarding the matter, keeping things brief and saying that despite what is being claimed in the documentaries, we can still "enjoy the art" that has been provided by people like Kelly and MJ. Of course, R. Kelly is currently a major source of controversy while an upcoming film about the accusations made against Michael Jackson will be aired in the future.
