Not long after Kanye West and Donald Trump broke bread in a surreal discourse, Ye has once again found himself meeting yet another President. During his ongoing trip to Africa, Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian met with Ugandan President Yoweri K. Museveni, who greeted the celebrities with open arms. "I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda," he writes, via Twitter. "I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda's tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers."
Perhaps a Kanye West presidential run is actually closer to reality than some may have suspected. After all, Yeezy has already rubbed shoulders with two Presidents in the span of seven days. It's interesting to see his evolution from College Dropout to Yandhi, which has, to some fans, been a trajectory of diminishing returns. Though Yeezy's music has arguably seen a decline in quality (I personally love both Yeezus and The Life Of Pablo), his stature as a cultural phenomenon has reached alarming heights.
You may have already seen some of Kanye's meeting with Donald Trump, which has divided his fanbase. While some criticized his behavior and depiction of Trump as a father figure of sorts, others praised Ye's willingness to bring certain topics to the Oval Office, including a pardon for incarcerated former gang leader Larry Hoover. Where do you stand?
