K Camp has been releasing a shit ton of new content over the past couple weeks and thankfully he doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. After hitting us with his freestyle over Meek Mill’s “Save Me” record, and later linking up with Sonny Digital & GENIUS on the song “One Year Later,” which we had the honor of premiering its video, K Camp decides to return to the scene today and share a new song called “97” featuring ATL rapper Rich The Kid.
Going in over the boomin’ production from Bobby Kritical & Wayy, K Camp delivers a bouncy new hustlers anthem that finds him rapping about getting his check up, while Rich The Kid shows off his double time rhyme scheme and flexes about his icy jewelry & running with the Mak on him. “Walk around with the mak of course, trappin white like Macklemore,” Rich spits. Highlighted by its minimalistic, trap-infused production & bouncy flows & delivery, “97” is another strong addition to K Camp’s steady growing catalogue of hits.
Look for the song to presumably see life on K Camp’s forthcoming Slum Lords 2 mixtape, along with his latest single “Good Problem.” No word yet when that’ll be dropping, but K Camp did say it would be dropping sometime this month. In fact, K Camp just informed us that’s all done being recorded as well, so keep your eyes peeled for updates on that to surface soon.
Take a listen and let us know what you think. If you’re still wanting more from K Camp to hold you over while you wait for Slum Lords 2 to arrive, revisit a couple other records from the ATL crooner in the meantime including “Facetime” with Dice Soho & “Call” featuring Sorry Jaynari & AD.
Quotable Lyrics:
Im fresh out I don't need stamp
Got too many rings like a champ
Walk around with the mak of course,
Trappin' white like Macklemore
