Juelz Santana has reportedly received a prison sentence of 27 months in his drug case. The ruling was declared this Wednesday Morning, December 19, in Newark, New Jersey. He is also ordered to a supervised release for 12 months after serving his sentence. The date of his surrender to legal authorities has yet to be announced.
As previously reported, "Newark International airport security found a loaded .38-caliber handgun and Oxycodone pills in his carry-on bag. Santana fled the scene, but ended up turning himself in."
During an episode of Love & Hip Hop: New York, Juelz announced his decision to accept the terms of the deal offered by legal authorities, which would require him to serve between 27-37 months behind bars. “So I decided to take the plea,” he stated. “I felt like it was the least selfish choice for my family. I still don’t have no full closure because at the end of the day, I know the final decision is on the judge. He could give me more time than I agreed on. Just when I felt like I was going to be getting some closure, the problems just begun.”
While he serves his sentence, Juelz will be missed by his fiancee Kimbella and their young children. He proposed to his longtime girlfriend after being released from house arrest in September.
