It's going to be an interesting NBA Finals this year as it will be the first time in eight seasons that the representative from the East won't be either the Miami Heat or the Cleveland Cavaliers and they won't feature LeBron James. With this in mind, all four teams that remain in the East are thought to have a solid chance at making it to the finals. One of those teams, the Philadelphia 76ers, just beat the Brooklyn Nets in five games to move on to the second round of the postseason.
With a second-round matchup against the Toronto Raptors on the horizon, Sixers star Joel Embiid is confident that the team can get it done.
"We think we can win it all," Embiid said. "We feel like this team is better than last year's team."
Embiid also talked about how last year's team was a little too cocky but this season, they know what it takes to be a winner.
"Last year we had a lot of momentum going into the playoffs but Boston just smacked us. Going into this series is different because this is now my second time being here and last year we were overconfident," Embiid explained. "This year it's just about respecting everything about the game of basketball and putting the work in."
How do you think the Sixers will do against the Raptors? Let us know.
