This past year, we witnessed the birth of arguably one of the most necessary web series in hip hop, "Everyday Struggle." Earlier today, there were speculations that Joe Budden was fired from the show and Budden later elaborated on it in a series of tweets, referring to "internal chaos" as the reason why he hasn't been there. Now, Complex has officially made a statement about it and confirmed that Joe Budden is no longer part of the "Everyday Struggle" cast.
Billboard spoke to Complex earlier and they've confirmed that Joe Budden's contract won't be renewed nor will he be returning to "Everyday Struggle."
"Joe Budden is not continuing as a host on Everyday Struggle in 2018," Complex said. "The show will be back in the New Year with all new episodes and guests. We wish Joe all the best and thank him for a great 2017."
They further elaborated on the statement and said, "We love and respect him; we believe he's terrific but the reality is we couldn't reach an agreement."
From what was said in his tweets earlier, Joe Budden mentioned that he and Complex weren't able to reach a mutual agreement on renewing his contract.
The ironic part about this is that Quavo and Lil Yachty finally dropped the video for "Ice Tray" this morning which clowns all three members of the Everyday Struggle cast, particularly Joe Budden. Maybe Quavo looked at his grillz and foresaw this happening.
Regardless, it's hard to say that Everyday Struggle will be the same now that Joe Budden won't be on the show.
