In a twitter post sent out in response to a fan, Joe Budden conceded that he and co-host Rory were effectively banned from appearing on The Breakfast Club. The Joe Budden Podcast is co-hosted by Joe and his two cohorts Rory Farrell & Mal.
Fans of the podcast were engaged in a twitter thread recounting today's Breakfast Club incident where DJ Envy walked off set. In search of added commentary, the users prodded Joe Budden who responded by simply stating that co-host Rory had "got us banned" from the show, no further commentary followed.
The ban seems to have followed disparaging comments made by Mal during The Joe Budden Podcast's February 28 showdate. The remarks were unfairly pitched towards every member of The Breakfast Club in response to Charlamagne's disagreement with Mo'nique over racial inequality. Mal pronounced that The Breakfast Club was effectively "finished," insinuating that Mo'nique had done irepairable damage to their brand.
Mal's harsh words have had little to no effect on The Breakfast Club's ability to generate numbers, following the incident. Add to that, Joe and Envy have towed a fine a line of contempt for one another. These are the clues with which you can form your own conclusions on the matter.
Budden should be taken at his word. For the time being, don't expect to see Budden or his cohorts on Power 105. Joe loves to stir pot, that's never going to change.
