2018 has equated to somewhat of a fire sale for hip-hop fans, and J.I.D. has never been one to watch from the benches. The Dreamville lyricist has officially set a date for his upcoming album DiCaprio II, arriving on November 26th. Though JID is more than capable of carrying a project on his shoulders, he's officially managed to secure a few key players to pad the supporting cast: the late Mac Miller, Method Man, BJ The Chicago Kid, and of course, J. Cole. Now, on the same day Moneybagg Yo brought the world "Trap J. Cole," J.I.D has previewed an upcoming collaboration that sounds absolutely insane.
"Oh my God this is the greatest song in the world!" shouts J.I.D, visibly excited to unleash it. The track itself is uptempo, with J.I.D spitting effortless double-time, riding the beat with pinpoint accuracy. The bulk of the snippet centers around Cole, who continues his trend of murdering instrumentals. Eventually, Cole flips to the double-time flow, proving that he's capable of out-rapping damn near everyone in the game; the scary thing is, it feels like Cole is simply warming up, having reached a new evolutionary stage at the onset of the year.
