Jennifer Lopez is being dragged in a major lawsuit.

Jennifer Lopez has a lawsuit on her hands after a man named Alvin Gray-El is coming after the actress and musician, alleging she stole the idea of her World of Dance from him. TMZ reports that Alvin once pitched an idea to renowned choreographer Debbie Allen for a television show called "Let's Start the Dance" in 2009.

Alvin claims he didn't hear back from Debbie about his idea and the following year he registered the idea with the U.S. Copyright Office. The publication details how it wasn't until seven years later that he got word Jennifer and NBC was working on a similar show. Alvin followed up by sending NBC a letter making them aware that the new show was actually his idea from years ago, which he shared with Debbie.

Apparently, Debbie has no correlation to Jennifer's show which makes it unclear as to how Alvin is suing both parties who may or may not even know each other. He's suing each for $6.5 million.

Since the reports, a source close to Jennifer has revealed that the idea for the show was floating around NBC for a while and the network introduced the concept to Jennifer.
