Jay-Z is projected to move 350k-400k opening week with "Magna Carta Holy Grail."

Jay-Z has already acheived platinum status for Magna Carta Holy Grail, even before the LP dropped with the RIAA changing their regulations to accomodate the legendary rapper.

Now that the album is officially released, first week sales projections have surfaced. The album is reportedly on track to move 350,000 - 400,000 opening week. This number is based in part off the pre-order sales from digital retailers like iTunes.

If the album moves this much, it'll have the #1 spot, making it Hov's 13th chart-topping debut-- thus giving him the title of the solo artist with the most #1 albums in history.

[UPDATE: "Magna Carta Holy Grail" certified platinum]

We now have the photographic proof that the RIAA certified Magna Carta platinum. See the image of Hov in the gallery above.

This also makes Hov officially the first artist to ever go platinum on the day his LP dropped.
