Jamie Foxx has never been shy about his love for his little sister, DeOndra Dixon. Dixon was born with Down Syndrome, a genetic disorder caused by extra genetic material from the 21st chromosome. Foxx's compassion, respect, and admiration for those with Down Syndrome are legendary. In fact, he was named the annual Ambassador for America's Global Down Syndrome Foundation in 2011. In 2014, in an interview with Queen Latifah, Foxx praised Chris Brown for showing his little sister love. "When I called Chris Brown about my sister, because she has this huge crush on him, he dropped everything," the multi-talented artist stated. "No cameras around. He comes to dance with her (and) hangs out with her.”

People recently got their hands on a snippet of an interview Foxx and Dixon did with Dateline, and in the footage, Jamie reveals how much his sister influences him. “I learned how to live. Sometimes we get caught up in our world on the extras of everything — ‘Ah, the Mercedes is not the right color!’ ” he said. “And then you see this girl over here, ‘I just want to live. I want to dance. I want to love.’ So she brings you back down to what life is.”

“I do feel down and sad and when he’s not here,” Dixon said, which caused Foxx to crack a joke. “And what do you do? You text me. You say, ‘Where you at?’ and, ‘Where the money at?’"
