When the Houston Rockets take the floor tomorrow night in Boston, James Harden will reportedly be wearing a special edition colorway of his Adidas Harden Vol. 1 signature sneakers, featuring "Free Meek" displayed in bold, gold lettering from toe to tongue.
The kicks were created by @Kickstradomis, a sneaker customizer who has personalized shoes for a number of NBA stars including Karl-Anthony Towns, Lonzo Ball, Courtney Lee and Wesley Matthews.
Harden visited Meek Mill at the State Correctional Institution in Chester, Pennsylvania yesterday on the Rockets' day off and provided fan with the following update.
"Got a chance to see my bro Meek Mill today. His spirit is high and hopefully we can get him out by February," Harden wrote.
"Told me to tell y'all when he get out he got some (fire) for y'all."
The Rockets, 25-7, and Celtics, 27-10, will tip off tomorrow night at 8pm ET in the first game of the NBA on TNT's double-header. Harden currently leads the NBA in points per game with 32.4, and he's averaging the second most assister per night with 9.2
