Jadakiss fans rejoice at the artist's latest announcement. The rapper took to his Instagram to share a photo of his signing with Roc Nation, a label founded by Jay-Z in 2008. The picture features Jadakiss literally signing papers at a desk. It came along with the caption, "Made another + move today @rocnation thank y’all for everything you’ve done 🙏🏾! Now let’s get it."
It isn't clear what kind of deal was just made. It can consist of anything from a songwriting contract to a full-on 360 arrangement. Still, new music is likely on the way to please the fans of the 43-year-old rapper. In a way, this will be an extension of an existing relationship. The LOX released their first studio album in 16 years in collaboration with Roc Nation. The group's Filthy America...It's Beautiful dropped in 2016. Seems like the next leg of the journey will be a solo one, but a collaboration with the other parts of the trio might be a possibility since the group is still signed to the label.
Lately, we've been catching the New York native's music through collaborations. He appeared on Freeway's Think Free project and Westside Gunn's Supreme Blientle in June. Jadakiss' latest full-length projects include a collaborative album with Fabolous entitled Friday On Elm Street and his most recent studio album Top 5 Dead Or Alive, which dropped in 2017 and 2015 respectively.
