Jacquees is fresh off the release of his video for "Your Peace" with Lil Baby but he's back with new music in a matter of hours. The rapper released his Quemix of Queen Naija's song, "Karma." The singer takes the record and flips it into something of his own. This serves as his first Quemix of the year. He previously linked up with Wale for a cover of H.E.R.'s "Against Me" last October.
The singer's remixes have sparked controversy in the past year. While the majority of people have been cool with the singer's remixes that he shares on Soundcloud for free, he's had some problems with Mustard and Ella Mai over his cover of "Trip." The tension between all parties died down recently but Ella Mai appeared to take issue with Jacquees decision to perform his remix of "Trip" in the U.K. during an appearance at Tory Lanez concert. "i’d be so embarrassed if someone brung me on stage and the only thing i could sing was someone elses song because nobody knew my actual music. poor thing," she wrote on Twitter.
Quotable Lyrics
Showing you all my emotions
I can get deep as the ocean
Time don't wait for no man
And I'm tryna keep my focus
