Kodak Black and Tekashi 6ix9ine are the furthest thing from friends. The two have been at odds for a few weeks after 6ix9ine spit a few lewd insults toward the Florida rapper. Since his release from prison, Kodak has been making the most of his freedom, dropping a number of singles and featuring on several songs. His latest track arrived last night as he began sharing "Take One," the newest piece in his repertoire. We were expecting an album from the young Spiner Gang general on Halloween but, as we all know, it didn't arrive. Perhaps he's been cooped up in the studio writing diss records about 6ix9ine? A slew of his fans sure seems to think he's addressing the rainbow-haired artist here and the evidence points in that direction.
6ix9ine has seemingly been having a rough go at things lately. The star fired his entire team and cancelled his American tour, announcing the shocking departure from Tr3yway yesterday. Kodak did not take kindly to the boisterous man's remarks and he may have responded another time in his "Take One" lyrics. He raps, "I'm on house arrest but I'ma take one/That p*ssy bitin', so I paid to get her lace done/That n***a dissin' on the 'Gram, but I ain't say nothin'/I ain’t trippin, I’ma get him when that day come." It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together. 6ix9ine does most of his talking on social media and it's very possible that these threats are aimed in his direction. But what exactly does Kodak have planned?
Have a listen to the song and chime in.
