If you've updated your Instagram app today you may have noticed a new feature where you can now follow hashtags. The leading social media platform has introduced a new way for its users to stay on top of things that interest them most.
Whether you're looking to stay connected with #HotNewHipHop, #WCW, #50Cent, #Streetwear or anything else you're into, a simple click can make sure you see your favourites added strategically to your news feeds and 'following' tab.
The platform is also testing out a new “recommended for you” section that will show pics your friends have liked or pictures the algorithm thinks you'll be into directly in your feed. “We're always testing new ways to connect you to interesting content on Instagram,” the company told The Verge.
Although these changes may seem small in the broader scheme of how you double tap a picture, it may lead to more major changes for Instagram's 800 million users. What do you guys think? Do you want to see photos your friends like in your feed?
