There's a reason why Rick Ross' Instagram bio puts his status as the "biggest boss" on blast. A self-made critically acclaimed rapper and entrepreneur with Maybach Music Group, nine studio albums, one compilation album and eighty-seven singles under his belt, Ross can confidently rub shoulders with other industry titans as one of the greatest hip-hop moguls of his time. Earning the distinction as the first artist signed to Diddy's management company Ciroc Entertainment and snagging the title as the "Hottest MC in the Game" back in 2012, the "Hustlin'" rapper has shown no signs of slowing down since he first burst onto the scene under the pseudonym Teflon Da Don during the early days of his career back at Suave House Records.
Taking some time out of his busy, steady grind to chat with Interview Magazine about the "bossed-up" mantra that motivates and permeates every aspect of his professional and personal life, Ross revealed that he views each new day as an opportunity to make moves and climb even higher to the top of the heap.
"Really, every day is the perfect day to boss up. Every day that you wake up is a perfect day to boss up," said the rapper with seemingly untouchable staying power. "It’s all about continuing to put one foot in front of the next. That’s what it’s about. Whatever you think you’re going through, just put one foot in front of the next."
According to the bars he spit in the remix of Meek Mill's "Ima Boss," an "OG is one who standin' on his own feet/a boss is one who guarantee we gon eat," and if you're part of Ross' crew, you know you're eating well.

Ice
With Ross, there's always enough ice to go around...especially if they're doled out in honor of a fellow MMB artist and "Dream Chaser" Meek Mill.
Work For What You Want
Unlike other industry icons, Ross doesn't credit his massive success as a fruitful, happy accident. Instead, he's eager to let his followers know that they can be just as bossed up as he is - they just have to work for it.
#FreeMeek
Just months before his harsh sentence was handed down, Meek was on a private plane with Ross counting stacks. "You can start with nothing and make it to the Top," captioned the rapper before reminding fans of the "#empire" he's built.
Money Game
When you're a boss, if they're not talking money...you don't want to hear it.
Happy Birthday, Boss
Naturally, Rick Ross went all out for his birthday, captioning a video of the decadent affair (complete with a gold crown, of course) #BallinWithABoss.
Weight Loss Boss
When you're on top, you have to stay fit to extend your rule and retain your spot at the top. Recognizing the need to get in shape, Ross transformed into a #WeightLossBoss in late 2016.
Yacht Life
When you're a boss, you don't own just ONE yacht...you own two, and name the second luxury cruiser "Rich Forever."
Empire
Alongside a picture of his impressive ice, Ross reminded his followers that he is at the helm of an "untouchable empire."
Dubai
As an undeniable boss, Ross doesn't just visit cities known for their decadent displays of wealth...he becomes them.
