Husser has been riding solo since his group The Posterz slid into an unofficial hiatus. He dropped his debut EP Ghetto Rock For The Youth last year. The project had a personal edge as the rapper wielded his storytelling skills over dark instrumentals. After having experienced Husser in his own sonic universe, listeners can get a feel of what he might sound like in others through his last tape Detonation. The short project is a collection of remixes. The first is one of XXXTentacion's "Up Like an Insomniac." Then, Husser comes through with a version of Rae Sremmurd's "Up In My Cocina," while generally keeping his flow closely knit to the original. The most played track thus far is his flip of Saweetie's "Icy Girl."
This tape is meant as a quick lick in anticipation of new music. The Montreal native is set on blessing us with a few juicy releases over the summer. Let us know if you dig the taste.
