Former Hot Boy, B.G. was sentenced to a staggering 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. (Shout out to HipHopDX) He was arrested back in 2009 after a traffic stop, and pleaded guilty to being a felon with possession of a firearm. Things got worse, as he obstructed justice by convincing an associate to claim gun ownership.
The prosecution was after a 25 year sentence, citing B.G.’s past criminal record, and even submitted his music videos as “evidence” of him “profiting off of New Orleans’s ‘cycle of violence.’” U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan refused to use the videos as evidence however. Reports say B.G. arrived to the sentencing in a jumpsuit and sat in a wheelchair.
