R.I.P. to the victims of this tragic incident.

An unfortunate incident took three lives yesterday after a helicopter crashed into a California home killing three and injuring two. CBS Local reports that a helicopter came down minutes after taking off from the John Wayne Airport around 2 PM.

The helicopter crashed with such force, it was barely recognizable by officials when they arrived at the scene. The Robinson R44 helicopter had four passengers on board, three who passed away, one who was left injured and one man who was outside of the home who was also injured. The police have not shared any information on the victims.

“All of a sudden the house just shook and I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re having an earthquake,'” Marian Michaels, who lives behind the home, told the publication.

“I turned to look out of the garage and that’s when I see this piece of metal flying through the air and hitting a bush and garage door,” Roger Johnson said. “Then I heard someone scream — a real for-real horror scream, like something terrible had happened.” He made his way onto the scene and urged people to stop trying to pull the victims out of the helicopter, in fear of injuring them more.
