Heat fans have smoke for Paul Pierce.

Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade announced that he would be retiring from the NBA this year and ever since, he has been getting a farewell tour across the NBA. That farewell tour hit its climax last night when Wade played his final home game in Miami. It was a huge performance where Wade put up 30 points and led the team to a 122-99 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The entire crowd put on a show for Wade, cheering him at every single turn. Perhaps the best cheers though came at the expense of former NBA star Paul Pierce. Over the weekend, Pierce tried to make the ridiculous assertion that he was a better player than Wade. Pierce's claims came with a ton of criticism, especially from Heat fans. In the middle of the game last night, that criticism reached its peak as "Paul Pierce Sucks" chants echoed throughout the arena.

Pierce wasn't there to defend himself unfortunately but the scene was pretty hilarious. Wade is so respected by the league that no such slander was ever going to be tolerated. After all these years, it's great to see that the fans are still riding for their hero.

Wade ended up reacting to Pierce's comments after Jared Dudley called out Pierce for his statements. Needless to say, Wade wasn't a big fan of Pierce's stance.
