Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan have somewhat of a complicated history. While Thugger has arguably created some of his best work alongside RHQ, the two disowned each other as "brothers" following the Rich Gang split. While Thug has enjoyed solo success, Rich Homie seemingly fell out of the public eye altogether before dropping his latest album Rich As In Spirit. The two looked to be over their previous working relationship, going their separate ways until London on da Track attempted to facilitate a reunion between the former Rich Gang members.
While Thug and Quan both kept quiet over London's attempt at a Quan and Thug reconciliation, the most recent advance made by Gucci Mane will be harder to ignore. Gucci tweeted, "I got a million cash for @RichHomieQuan and @youngthug to do one mixtape at the brand new #PolarBearStudios #NoCap 12songs from [scratch]! #NoCap brrr!!!" While the prospect of a new Rich Homie collaboration with Young Thug is extremely exciting, it's unclear how realistic a reunion is for the two Atlanta rappers. If the two don't patch things up to split a million dollars, their relationship is likely irreparable.
Could a Rich Gang reunion finally be happening? Fans of both artists would undoubtedly be stoked for the project as both have fully thrived when working with the other. We'll keep an eye on both Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan's socials and provide updates as they become available.
