No rapper was more in the Mother's Day spirit today than Future. Like many, he began the day by honoring his mom on Instagram. However, he would go on to compose three more heartfelt Mother's Day posts, each one dedicated to a different one of his baby mamas. Yes, that includes Ciara, with whom he has been on tumultuous terms since their breakup in 2014.
"I appreciate u more than you know, our son is an incredible kid," Future wrote in the caption of a picture showing Ciara holding their only son, Future Zahir, who will turn three this upcoming week. "We made a king, happy Mother's Day C!" Future ended the post.
At the end of last month, Ciara gave birth to a baby girl with Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, whom she married last summer. Future addressed Ciara, their breakup, and the pain that it caused him on his latest album, February's HNDRXX, which arrived two weeks after the self-titled album that included "Mask Off."
Ciara was the last baby mother to get a tribute today. Future first poured his heart out to India J, with whom he has an 8-year-old daughter. "Literally, U deserve everything. I'm truly blessed to have u in my life, thanks for being a great mother...I love you," wrote the Freebandz boss.
The next of Future's child-bearers to receive a Mother's Day blessing was Brittni Nealy, who gave birth to his son Prince shortly before he linked up with Ciara. "I will give u the world today if u asked for it," he wrote to Nealy. "Continue to love the way u love because it's needed."
The above three women account for three of Future's four children. He also a had a son in 2002 with a woman named Jessica Smith, who was not fortunate enough to receive any Mother's Day recognition from her baby daddy. Even so, few would have expected Future to honor his remaining baby mamas, especially Ciara, in such a sincere manner. As showcased on HNDRXX, the man is currently undergoing a life-affirming emotional transformation.
