Zaytoven emulates "Sunday Service," as Future goes missing at an inconvenient time.

Zaytoven is the latest musical guest to grace NPR's Tiny Desk concert cubicle for a one-off performance. Funny thing is, Zaytoven was never meant to go at it alone; he was supposed to be joined by Future who simply didn't bother showing up. Zaytoven chalked it up to a miscommunication, with NPR's Rodney Carmichael providing the press with a debriefing concerning his non-appearance.

"After several hours of waiting, with the band all warmed up and ready, word came that Future would be a no-show,” wrote NPR’s Rodney Carmichael in deference to the no-show. "So, to our thrill, Zaytoven redeemed the occasion with his own Tiny Desk concert, featuring instrumental versions of a couple of the earliest hits he produced for Future's Beast Mode."

So without further ado, Zaytoven remedied the situation by performing a medley of Beast Mode selections all on the piano, as Carmichael had courteously mentioned. With a backing band consisting of Neil Garrard on guitar, Elena Pinderhughes on flute, DJ Spinz on the decks, and Bernard "TreWay" Lambert on drums, Zaytoven took the spotlight all to himself.

Check out the concert footage below, where a spirited Zaytoven conjured the spirit of millions of God-fearing Christians into instrumental renditions of "Lay Up" and "Peacoat" from Beast Mode 1, and "Mo Reala" from Beast Mode 2.
