Future's allure has long captivated the mainstream. Now, a little over a week removed from his seventh studio album The WIZRD, Future has once again solidified his foothold on the culture. Today, the rapper took to Instagram to celebrate his triumphant run, highlighting a personal sales milestone. As it happens, The WIZRD's number one status brought the rapper to a lofty height, hitting a new milestone unseen by his hip-hop peers.
"Future earned six No. 1 albums in just 3 years and 5 months, the quickest accumulation of no. 1s since Elton John in the 1970s," writes Billboard Charts, via Twitter. "He scored seven No. 1s in 3 years and 3 months."
Though enigmatic he may be, Future took a moment to showcase some genuine humility, thanking his fans for keeping his legacy alive. " Blessings," he writes. "Thanks for the love. Thanks for the hate. I hope your heart in the right place! U make me a better ME." A moment of character development from the generally distant rapper is sure to go a long way. Congrats to big Future for holding it down for the longest.
