The most talked about topic this past week has been the allegations against R. Kelly. After Lifetime aired their docuseries Surviving R. Kelly which explores the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct by the singer over the years. Everyone's been sharing their opinions on the matter including French Montana who seems to believe that despite the horrific accusations R. Kelly faces, the Chicago singer should be able to enjoy his musical legacy.
TMZ recently caught up with French Montana who shared a contentious opinion on R. Kelly. While many are hoping to see R. Kelly behind bars, French believes that Kellz should be able to enjoy his legacy as an artist regardless of whether he's a sexual predator or not. The rapper even name-dropped Michael Jackson while he was at it. "All the greats went down like that," he said.
Adding, "Let somebody enjoy their legacy. Whatever happened, happened, man."
French did, however, mention that these allegations shouldn't be shocking to anyone. R. Kelly did mention it in his songs. French referenced the "Bump N Grind" line, "My mind's tellin' me no, but my body, my body's tellin' me yes" to make his point.
When asked if people should stop listening to his music, French simply replied, "They [people] don't let nobody have their legendary moments."
