The Southern Flame Spitta fR€$H aka Short Dawg has been laying low since releasing March Madness 3 earlier this year. Yesterday he released "Angels," off his forthcoming project A.U.T.H.E.N.T.I.C.
Produced by Honorable Court, "Angels" is about the struggle to maintain in a world of chaos, where nothing seems to go right. The breathy production and Njomza's ethereal vocals seem to represent Short Dawg's zen mindstate. "I ain't trippin'," he claims at the outset of the track. These are the watchwords by which Short lives, who believes that as long as angels are looking down on him, he will endure.
Quotable Lyrics
Don't worry your pretty little head around me
Won't catch me slipping, angels around me
If I heard you before I might be sorry
I can't stop moving, my time is running
Had to start climbing that to be something
Take it all from 'em, we come from nothing
