Former NBA talent JJ Hickson has been arrested in connection with armed robbery Coweta County, Atlanta. FOX 5 News reports him getting booked in Coweta County Jail late Friday night. Although he exercised his right to remain silent, authorities have concluded he was part of a home invasion taking place earlier in the day.
Local deputies believe at least two people are involved, but as of now only Hickson is facing charges, the incident taking place around 10:30 am. Several items were taken from the home, and one person roughed up before Hickson and his assailant vacated the scene. He is expected to present himself in front of a judge this afternoon for a prehearing conference.
"The victim was beat up pretty good and they took some personal items from the residence and at that point in time through the help of a canvass we were able to identify a suspect and a suspect vehicle. We were able to identify a suspect from that," said John Kennedy, Captain of the Coweta County Sheriff's Office.
Hickson currently plies his trade in Lebanon for first division outfit Champville SC, last playing in the NBA for the Washington Wizards in 2016. He had amassed over $27 million in career earnings before his NBA career tapered off.
