Coming through with one of the better albums of the year thus far, Flatbush Zombies rarely disappoint. One of the few acts that can take a two-year hiatus and return with a considerable amount of hype, the group made up of Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, and Erick Arc Elliott is one of New York's premiere talents. Taking a break since the release of their prior studio album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey, Flatbush is officially back and they're taking a Vacation In Hell.
Speaking on everything from their dreams for future collaborations, the work they did with Jadakiss and Bun B on Vacation and their status as trendsetting leaders, Flatbush came through our offices to chop it up about everything. The trio is at the top of an impressive roster of talent from New York, which can be seen as they take the listener on a sonic journey throughout the new album. Referencing the title of the project, the trio comes up with examples of a real life Vacation In Hell, saying that things don't necessarily need to be so drastic. A Vacation In Hell could be something as simple as your rental car being towed away in Hawaii. The principle of it is "being able to make the best of a terrible situation."
The trio additionally speaks about wishing to work with Tech N9ne, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne, while explaining the sonic adventure they journey on with Vacation In Hell. Watch the video above and let us know how you're liking the new album.
