We didn't receive a whole lot of new music from Flatbush Zombies in 2017 but there's no doubt they were still working. The Brooklyn trio were rocking plenty of festival stages throughout the year and working on their next move. The last project they dropped was 2016's 3001: The Laced Odyssey and they've dropped a few loose singles on the way including Snoop Dogg's G-Mix to their single "Palm Trees." However, they've been working relentlessly and it looks like we'll be getting a new album from them really soon.
Flatbush Zombies revealed the release date through a short trailer on their social media pages. Flatbush Zombies next project, Vacation In Hell, will drop on April 6th with a film titled, "Building A Ladder" by Ellington Hammon releasing four days before that on April 2nd. The trailer they released consisted black and white footage from past shows of the Zombies performing and the crowd moshing.
While April 6th seems far away, they still have something to hold fans over until then. Eric Arc Elliot will be dropping his Arcstrumentals 2 project on February 16th. The release date for that was also revealed in a trailer with Elliot playing piano and smoke a cigarette while a recorded narrative plays over the footage. Elliot's been a driving force for the Zombies unique sound and released the first Arcstrumentals over two years a go.
With an official date solidified, hopefully they drop off a single off the project soon.
