It's officially time for Freddy vs. Jason to manifest. Today, it has been confirmed that former Friday On Elm Street collaborators Fabolous and Jadakiss have arranged to face off in an upcoming Verzuz battle. Swizz Beatz broke the news on Instagram, confirming that the tilt is set to go down this coming Monday at 8 PM Eastern, with an Apple TV stream available for those wanting to watch in HD.

While Fab and Jada previously took on the roles of Freddy and Jason to wreak havoc on the masses, it should be interesting to see the legendary lyricists square off in a spirited bout of hit-for-hit. Of course, Verzuz has always been a celebration first and foremost, though let's be honest -- it doesn't take much to get a rapper's competitive spirit going, so you know there's set to be pride on the line for this one.

Insofar as the match-up goes, it's truly hard to assess where this one might go. Both men are incredible with the punchlines, with countless hard bars and mixtape deep cuts in their arsenals. Both have solid solo discographies on the studio front, from their debut albums Kiss Tha Game Goodbye and Ghetto Fabolousto their most recent efforts Ignatius and Summertime Shootout 3. It should be interesting to see whether they design their sets for the streets or the mainstream, though it wouldn't be surprising to see both sides equally represented. All things considered, this is set to be a Verzuz to remember, so tune in on Monday the 29th to catch Fab and Jada in action.
