Fabolous got off with a slap on his wrist. The rapper's been dealing with charges relating to the domestic violence incident with his girlfriend, Emily B. Although the rapper was facing a hefty amount of time, the rapper reportedly struck a deal with the prosecutors.
TMZ reports that Fabolous will not serve any jail time in his domestic violence case involving Emily B. The rapper will enter a pretrial intervention program which is typically offered to first-time offenders. Fab's lawyer, Brian Neary, said that the charges will be dismissed entirely given that he stays out of trouble for the next year and finishes the program. The rapper will have to give the court a monthly status update. However, he won't even have to do any anger management courses or therapy.
The rapper was indicted on 1 count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, 2 counts of threatening to kill and 1 count of possession of a weapon. If he was convicted on all counts, he could've been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The indictment stemmed from a video that surfaced of Fabolous getting into an altercation with Emily B and her father while brandishing a pair of scissors, hence the possession of a weapon count. The rapper also uttered threats to both Emily B and her father. However, Fab and Emily B's dad patched things up with her dad offering to testify on Fab's behalf if the case goes to trial.
