Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is expected to officially appeal his six-game suspension today or tomorrow, which the NFL announced last week after completing their investigation into a domestic violence report.
Zeke's father, Stacy Elliott, shared some details of the domestic violence report yesterday on social media in which the accuser, Tiffany Thompson, allegedly said, “You are a black male athlete. I’m a white girl. They are not going to believe you.”
Thompson, who used to date Ezekiel Elliott, was also quoted as saying, "I'm going to ruin your life."
Per the Dallas-Star Telegram,
▪ After being told Elliott didn’t want her at his house on July 21 and he didn’t want her coming out with him, Thompson responded with: “Ok this is what you want? Ok then, I’m going to ruin your life. You will see. If I was you, I wouldn’t go out tonight.”
▪ After being told she couldn’t come Elliott’s 21st birthday party, Thompson told him “that’s worst decision you made in your life. I’m going to ruin you life now.”
Today, TMZ released audio from Thompson's police interview, wherein she outlines specific instances of abuse at the hands of the Cowboys running back.
During her interview, she tells police,
"He has lost control and yanked me into the wall, busted the side of my jaw ... my face is swollen and a little bit bruised. And then I did have thumbprint marks on my hand."
Once Elliott submits his appeal, which will focus on the testimony given by Thompson, the NFL must schedule a hearing within ten business days.
