Compton native Eric Bellinger regularly drops several projects every year and, even though we've been on lockdown due to the coronavirus and in a historic period of societal unrest, he's not letting up. Belli dropped another new project last week, titled Hors D'oeuvres.
As suggested by the title, this mixtape is just the start of what's to come. An appetizer, if you will.
With nine new songs and no features (yet!), Eric Bellinger flexes his strong vocals on the new tape. There's even a tribute to his hometown hero Kobe Bryant on "Mamba Mentality."
Listening, you may realize that there are tons of open verses left on each song. There's a point to that. Eric Bellinger explained: "My next goal with this experiment is to be the middle man and bridge the gap between producers, songwriters, and artists. Providing an alternative option to the limited resources of 'type beat' style production for aspiring creatives around the world."
