Emilia Clarke arrives at the 70th Emmy Awards on September 17, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.
Clarke will forever be the Mother of Dragons.

Daenerys Targaryen is one of the most popular characters on HBO's hit series Game of Thrones. That is no surprise, since the gorgeous and talented Emilia Clarke plays the Dragon Queen on the series. Her story began as a grim one, Daenerys was wed off to a violent warrior by her brother and raped. Daenerys develops some type of Stockholm Syndrome, and falls in love with her rapist, Khal Drogo. After giving birth to a stillborn baby and losing Drogo to a witch's spell, Daenerys hatches her dragon eggs and sets off on a journey to become queen.

Daenerys' dragons, named Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion (aka the new ice dragon), are a central part of Game of Thrones' plot. Clarke has spent the last seven years mothering her on-screen dragons, but recently, the show wrapped production forever. The final season is set to debut next year, but Clarke isn't ready to let go of her role as the Mother of Dragons. She took to Instagram to show off a new tattoo she got in commemoration of the show's ending.

"MOD 4 LYFE," she wrote as the caption to a picture of her showing off her new tattoo. The small piece was inked on Clarke's inner wrist, and shows an image of her three dragons flying in the sky.
