Kanye West has decided to distance himself from politics... for now. West took to Twitter to announce, "My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in." The revelation came after Candace Owens' "Blexit" campaign used 'Ye's name to help further their cause. Although West is not denouncing Trump by any means, it appears as if his political rants will cease for the time being.
Ebro is skeptical about West's reasons for publicly announcing his departure from the political stage. On Ebro In The Morning, the host suggested that West is feeling the pressure after his antics may have led to reduced sales. First, he brings the Yeezy sneakers into the debate. "He realized he effed up the money," stated Ebro. DJ Kast One chimed in at the moment to say that the recent Yeezy drop is not selling, which is not an issue the sneakers have had in the past. In fact, Yeezys usually sell out within minutes, prompting Ebro to believe that Kanye's shoe line is suffering due to his MAGA support.
"He's never cared about offending people if it didn't hurt his bank account," Ebro continued. "His music isn't being played. That song will Lil' Pump, it did cool. I liked the song, but it didn't explode. It's not still being played right now. And then you have the sales of these sneakers, that's what he cares about guys." Check out the full segment below.
