Last year, Dwayne The Rock Johnson said running for president was a "real possibility" and he explained why he considered the role so much. "The responsibility as president—I [would] take responsibility for everyone," he said. "Especially when you disagree with me. If there's a large number of people disagreeing, there might be something I'm not seeing, so let me see it. Let me understand it."
Well, consider that old news since the Jumanji actor has officially canceled his plans of becoming America's leader. “Unfortunately I don’t see it happening in 2020," he said at a recent Skyscraper promotion. "It’s a position that requires years of hard work and experience to learn the skills. There’s a lot of ground to cover, and due to my schedule, it’s not possible in 2020. I have so much respect for the position. It’s something that I seriously considered. What I need is time to go out and learn.”
In other Dwayne news, other guys in the industry are looking to be just like him such as Shaq. In a recent interview, the former basketball star said his Hollywood aspirations are to do the same flicks as Dwayne. "We come from the same place: athletes that transition. That’s my goal. I want similar-type movies," he said. "I want to get thrillers. I want to get dramas. I want to do comedies. I want to be the next Rock. I want to do a thriller where I’m like a hero and beat up all the bad guys."
