Dvsn are currently overseas at the moment on their world wide "Morning After" tour, but while they were in the UK recently, the OVO duo decided to stop by the BBC Radio station and serve as a special guest on the 1Xtra Live Lounge. And boy did they deliver quite the performance.
With producer Nineteen85 on the acoustic guitar & 3 backup singers assisting, singer Daniel Daley would go onto to perform his mashup cover of Aaliyah’s “One in a Million” and Prince’s “Purple Rain.” The duo even performed the record in a purple-lit room, which only added to the Prince-inspired ambiance, and it’s super dope. However it’s not the first time we’ve heard the duo perform a cover. In fact, their version of Aaliyah's "One In A Million" has been floating online for the past 2 years, which you can hear for yourself in CDQ form right here.
In addition to the dope cover, the Toronto duo also performed the song “Mood,” off their recently released sophomore LP Morning After. This performance however saw the room’s lighting change to a mixture of red, orange, and pink, which only heightened the passionate vibes it portrays.
This performance comes in the midst of their forementioned "Morning After" tour which wraps up April 4th in Stockholm.
Watch Daniel show off his impressive vocals & pipes in this awesome cover mashup (below). Thoughts?
