Drake made his return to the limelight after his two week absence following Pusha T's "The Story Of Adidon." On Wednesday night, the rapper hopped back on to social media to share the visuals to his latest single, "I'm Upset." The new visuals featured his old "Degrassi" class coming together for a "high school reunion." Many people thought this served as some sort of smoke screen from the whole Pusha T and G.O.O.D Music beef, although both Kanye West and J. Prince have called it off. However, a new report claims that the video was already in the works weeks before.
According to TMZ sources, Drake was not using the video for "I'm Upset" as a smokescreen for the Pusha T beef. The song itself was released a day after Drake released, "Duppy Freestyle" and many fans were more eager to hear Drake's "career ending" diss track. They reportedly started planning the single's release weeks before the video was even shot. They say the shoot was scheduled before the Pusha T track came out and Drake's team didn't feel it was necessary change it.
For fans that are waiting for Drake to respond, it still might be on the way. It was recently reported that Drake will respond to Pusha T on his new album, Scorpion. However, it might be as harsh as many hoped for. Either way, it looks like we'll have to wait until June 29th to hear what Drizzy has up his sleeve.
