Drake's been in a giving mood lately, to say the least. His recent trip to Miami landed a college student a $50K scholarship and high school students a $25K donation as well as promise to lace their high school up with OVO branded uniforms. The rapper's charitable efforts have been prominent throughout Miami where he's reportedly doing recordings for his follow up to More Life. However, his giving mood has not ended yet as he treated a Miami hotel maid with a luxurious day and a shopping spree.
Drake and Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers teamed up to give Odalie Paret, a maid at the Fontainebleau Miami, a memorable day, People reports. Paret's a mother of five who supports her children with her job at the hotel and travels four hours a day on two busses to get to and from work. The rapper first learned about Paret from an article in the Miami Herald from 2017 where she spoke on the increasing rent prices in the city that's causing more than 80% of Miami workers to move further away from the city.
She first received a massage at the hotel's spa and later had dinner Michael Mina's StripSteak steakhouse. However, the real surprise came when she ended up meeting Drake and Brown at Saks Fifth Avenue where they gave her 45 minutes and no dollar limit to cop whatever she'd like in the store which came up to $10K.
"I always just saw him on the TV. So I said, ‘Drake!'" Paret told the Miami Herald about her encounter with the rapper,"It made me happy. … I thank him so much."
Both Drake and Brown documented the trip on Instagram which you could check out below.
