Since partnering with Jordan Brand in December 2013, Drake has released several collaborative projects including the OVO x Air Jordan 10, OVO x Air Jordan 12 and the recently released OVO x Air Jordan 8, which dropped alongside a line of matching apparel. The Toronto-native also teamed with Future a few years back to release a song dedicated to the Jumpman, a company that has blessed him with countless special edition PEs over the years.
However, despite all of the success, Sole Collector is reporting that Drake may not be happy with his current role at Jordan Brand.
According to Sole Collector, Drake is "looking for an exit and a new deal that would afford him more creative control." One such brand that would reportedly give him the desired creative control is Adidas. Sole Collector reports that Drake "is in talks" with the Three Stripes about a potential sneaker deal, but it's unclear when he'd be able to break free of his Jordan Brand contract if he truly is considering moving on.
Adidas has done a phenomenal job of collaborating with several artists over the years, most notably Kanye West and Pharrell, who both have their own sneakers.
