Grab the popcorn y’all, the saga between Drake & Pusha T appears to be just getting started. After Pusha fired a subliminal shot at Drake on his new album, the 6 God sent the internet in a frenzy Friday afternoon when he dropped a diss track called “Duppy” freestyle aimed at Pusha & Kanye West.
As you probably know already, there were plenty of quotable one-liners on the track, but one in particularly that stood out was the mention of Kanye West, and the implication that Pusha's album wouldn't do well in the sales department: "Tell ’Ye we got an invoice comin’ to you/ Considering we just sold another 20 for you” Drizzy spits, alluding to him helping Pusha's album sales.
About 30 minutes after Drizzy’s song had surfaced, Pusha T responded to it on Twitter, sharing “send the invoice for the extra 20,” and what do you know? The 6 God did just that!
On Friday night, Drake responded to Push by sharing a photo on Instagram of an $100,000 invoice for "promotional assistance and career reviving." The invoice is to the attention of Steven Victor, Def Jam's executive VP/head of A&R, and it’s pretty great. Drake even captioned the post with "you're welcome,” which looks to be aimed at Push again.
Check out the petty, yet very Drake move (below). Should Pusha T respond with a diss track?
