Get ready for some more "Dragon Ball" goodness.

Fans of the Dragon Ball series were saddened when Super concluded earlier this year, but it looks like they will be rewarded with a new series this summer. Dragon Ball Heroes, a new mini-series that is based on the video games of the same name, is set to premiere on July 1st. A new trailer for the series shows Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and others locked in battle with a new villain. The "Prison Planet" story arc from the video game will be the main focus of the mini-series. A full translated synopsis for the series, via Comicbook, reads:

“Trunks returns from the future to train with Goku and Vegeta. However, he abruptly vanishes. The mysterious man "Fu" suddenly appears, telling them that Trunks has been locked up on the "Prison Planet", a mysterious facility in an unknown location between universes. The group searches for the Dragon Balls to free Trunks, but an unending super battle awaits them! Will Goku and the others manage to rescue Trunks and escape the Prison Planet?”

A new poster for the series has also hit the web which features some new characters, most notably, a Golden Cooler. The new straight jacket bound Saiyan looks insane as well. Check out the new trailer and poster below.
