Lil Yachty, Diplo, and Santigold connect on a crisp pop ballad.

Diplo and Lil Yachty are no strangers. The pair previously connected on Teenage Emotions cut "Forever Young," and now, they've reunited to keep the creative spark alive. And while Yachty's Lil Boat 2 is on the horizon, this new track stems from Diplo's California EP, which is set to drop later this month. The project has already yielded a soulful collaboration with DRAM, and the producer's track record indicates that a few more hip-hop collaborations might be in the works. For now, he's teaming up with Yachty and indie artist Santigold, who has more than a few bangers under he belt.

As Yachty is something of an indie kid at heart, it's cool to see him trading lines with one of the genre's former glories. Production-wise, the track finds a subdued Lil Boat crooning over an uplifting synth and guitar arrangement; stylistically, it sounds like he's revisiting the Teenage Emotion era, for better or worse. Stay tuned for Lil Yachty's Lil Boat 2 dropping March 9th.

Quotable Lyrics

I don't wanna worry no more
I just wanna ball like the big leagues
I just want a nice house on the shore
I just want a big house like Gatsby
