Diddy pays tribute to the love of his life.

Diddy broke his silence on the tragic death of his baby mother Kim Porter, in a tribute video set to SWV's "When U Cry." The video begins with a scene depicting the recorded history of the affection they shared. Diddy straddles Kim from behind, in an intimate setting, as SWV's seminal love song drives the sentiment home.

"It'd break my heart
If you went away
And I don't think that I
Could make it through the day
And I
Feel the way you do-ooh
And when you cry
Baby, I'm crying, too."

The scene then cuts to an unscripted moment where Kim and Diddy talk about the joys of "Black Love," partly explained by the bond they share with their children, and Diddy's other offspring from another relationship. The scenes were drawn from a maternity photo shoot with Essence magazine in December 2006, while Kim was pregnant with D'Lila Star Combs.

Diddy included the following message as a caption to his post: "For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much."

Kim and Diddy maintained a loving connection in the year's following their amicable split. In the moments following her passing, Diddy has rallied behind his closest of kin, in the days following her passing.

RIP Kim Porter (1971-2018)
