The #MeToo movement hasn't impacted the music industry like it did the film industry, but there have been several female artists who've come out with horrific stories of sexual abuse. Detail was hit with allegations of sexual assault and abuse earlier this year by two aspiring artists he worked with. Now, one of the women has filed a lawsuit against the music producer for sexual assault.
According to Billboard, Kristen Buch -- who alongside Peyton Ackley accused Detail of sexual assault -- filed a lawsuit against the producer, accusing him of assault and battery, sexual battery, gender violence, sexual harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
"This complaint, unfortunately, tells the tale of an aspiring musician who was manipulated, abused, and ferociously and repeatedly raped at the hands of a person she trusted, her supposed mentor, a critically acclaimed music producer," reads the lawsuit.
Kristen Buch's lawyer, William J. Briggs, confirmed that a lawsuit was filed against Detail.
"It is unfortunate that Ms. Buch was forced to suffer unthinkable harm at the hands of someone she considered a mentor," Briggs said. "Fortunately, Ms. Buch was able to escape Mr. Fisher’s control and bring these horrific allegations to light. No person should have to suffer the type of abuse Ms. Buch has suffered."
Brigg also confirmed that the temporary restraining order filed Buch against Detail in May has now become a permanent restraining order.
