It was reported earlier today that Demi Lovato had been hospitalized after overdosing. The singer had taken an amount of heroine her body struggled to process. She is said to be stable at the moment. Amidst the bittersweet news, some of her celebrity friends have been publishing their love and support for Lovato and her struggle.
Missy Elliot shared a short message on Twitter:
"Sending Prayers for Demi Lovato you just never know what people are going through so please have compassion & no jokes but let’s be encouraging so she will get the help she needs"
Kehlani had a lengthier response to the news. After tweeting some love to Demi, the entertainer posted another tweet to address addiction itself:
"addiction isn’t one of those things you can put yourself in the shoes of. you had to have fought the fight yourself or had it rip your family apart your entire life... even then, the latter is still not the same thing. this isn’t the time for the picking apart or making light of."
Her good friend Iggy Azalea has yet to make a public statement about the turn of events. Many more public figured, however, have voiced their concerns and good wishes.
